Sandra B (Harnick) Rossi

Sandra B. (Harnick) Rossi, age 78, formerly of Cheshire and Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living in Boone, NC. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Rossi, Jr.

Born in Waterbury on February 8, 1946, Sandra was the daughter of the late Lillian (Tomkus) Harnick. She was a graduate of Wilby High School, Class of 1964. Sandra started her career in banking before taking time off to raise her family. She returned to banking and retired in 2010 from Wells Fargo Bank after many years. She was a longtime communicant of St. Bridget of Sweden Church in Cheshire before moving to Boone, NC to be closer to her children. 

Sandra was an avid gardener, loved all things flowers, plants, bushes, trees, birds, ladybugs and bees. She took great pleasure in leaving places more beautiful than before. 

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Rossi-Arbogast and her husband Corey and Stacia Bracco and her husband Michael as well as her grandchildren, Isabella and Livy whom were the light of her life. 

Sandra’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living and Medi Home Health Hospice – Boone, NC for all of the genuine care and comfort that everyone provided to her over the past six months. 

Sandra’s graveside service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 11:00am at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 E. Main St., Waterbury. There are no calling hours. Family are friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
