Reba Eller Obituary

Reba Reese Eller, age 96, of North Fork Road, Zionville, passed away Sunday morning, November 19, 2023 at Watauga Medical Center.  Born March 16, 1927 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of Clyde and Margaret Hagaman Reese.  Reba was a member of Watauga Baptist Church.  She retired from the ASU Book Store as an accountant clerk with more than 30 years of service.  Reba loved her family dearly.  On Sunday afternoons, she often prepared meals for family and friends.  She and Ted enjoyed spending time together traveling throughout the country.  Her favorite hobbies were tending her annual vegetable and flower gardens.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Scott and husband, Ed, of Vilas; nieces, Pat Main and husband, Darwin, and Regina Garland and husband Donald, all of Trade, TN., Sherry Winkler of Boone, Jane Stepp and husband, Paul, and Freda Reese of Boone; nephews, Terry Scott and wife, Kim and David Scott and wife, Jan, all of Vilas, Allen Moody and wife, Ann, of Raleigh, Mike Moody and wife Sharon, of Lenoir, Tim Moody and wife, Lorie, of Waynesville, Gary Reese and wife Sherry, and George Reese, all of Vilas, and Steve Reese and wife Sandra and Hite Reese, all of Sugar Grove.  Numerous great nieces and great nephews also survive.  In addition to her husband, Ted Blaine Eller, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Thomas and Annie Moody; and brother, C. B. Reese, Jr.

Celebration of Life services for Reba Eller will be conducted Saturday morning, November 25, 2023 at 10 o’clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Preacher Derick Wilson and Preacher Billy Joe McGuire.  The family will receive friends from 9 until 10 o’clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes.

Graveside services will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens.
