Mary Ann Pennell went home to be with Jesus on December 31, 2023 at the age of 78. She was born in Lenoir on July 13, 1945 to Annie and Spencer Pennell. Mary was saved and baptized at Westside Baptist Church. She really loved cats and animals in general. Mary Ann was known for yard sales and could sale a broken radio and make money.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Pennell and wife, Donna, of Zionville and Linda Herman, and husband, Junior, of Boone; two grandchildren, Carrie (Tyler) Fenner of Mountain City, Tennessee, and Colby Pennell of Zionville and three great-grandchildren, Jasper, Ruby and Onyx Fenner; siblings, Virginia Arnette, and Jerry and Earl Pennell; and many nieces and nephews, all she loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby, Lucy, Rachel and James.
Services for Mary Pennell will be private.
