Mae Tucker Robbins

April 28,1934 – August 24, 2026

Mae Robbins, 92, passed peacefully on August 24, 2026, joining her husband W.C. “Buck” Robbins, Sr., who proceeded her in 2013.

Mae was born in the Laurel Springs family home on April 28, 1934, to James and Cleo Tucker.  She was reunited with her parents and siblings; Jimroe Tucker, Nannie Lee Tucker and Don Boyden Tucker.

Mae worked for Watauga Surgical Group in Boone, NC, for over 35 years as Office Manager.  She was very active in Boone United Methodist Church and worked in their office for many years during her retirement.  She also enjoyed crochet and made caps for new born babies at Watauga Hospital in her spare time.  Her love for family and friends ran deep.  She was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Mae is survived by her son, W. Councill Robbins, Jr. and wife Deborah Reece Robbins, grandson Willis “Will” Councill Robbins, III and wife Emma Saltman Robbins, granddaughter Madison “Maddy” Robbins Migliardi and husband Andrew Joseph Migliardi, great-grandson Ezra Rhodes Migliardi and great-granddaughter Lucy Wren Migliardi. 

Thank you to Liberty Hospice and the Foley Center in Blowing Rock, NC, for their care over the last 2 years. 

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 31, 2026, to be followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Boone United Methodist Church, 471 New Market Blvd, Boone, NC. 

In addition to flowers, the family requests that any donations go to Boone United Methodist Church.
