Lynn Winkler Hudson

Lynn Winkler Hudson, age 82, of Camp Rock Road, Boone, passed away Sunday evening, September 27, 2026 at her home.

Lynn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard E. Hudson; sons, Ricky Hudson and wife, Kristen, of Lenoir and Eric Hudson of Boone and daughter, Jenny Miller of Wilkesboro, granddaughter Skylee Miller and grandsons, Trey and Seth Hudson, Colt Hudson and Sage (Mary Grace) Miller.  She is also survived by her brother, Tony Winkler and wife Peggy of North Wilkesboro and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Winkler and Irene Davis Winkler, and her brother, Charles Winkler.

Celebration of Life services for Lynn Hudson will be conducted at 2:30 pm Friday, October 2, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Boone.  Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Wayne Brown. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:15 pm prior to services, at the church.  Graveside services will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens.

Flowers are appreciated or memorial gifts may be made, in Lynn’s memory, to First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 375 West King Street, Boone, NC, to Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, NC 28645, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Although much appreciated, the family requests no food.
