Lois Hartley Norman

Lois Elaine Hartley Norman, age 67, of Foscoe, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.  She was a loving wife, mother, and Meme.

Her special talents were cooking, canning and archery, but most especially photography and gardening.  She found immense joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Lois found great peace in reading God’s Word and had an unfailing faith in prayer.  She had a heart full of forgiveness, and loved listening to gospel music.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Elbert Hartley and Pauline Ward Hartley, her older brother, Bennie Elbert Hartley, and her brother-in-love, Elijah Presnell.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Norman, of 49 years (and one day);

Her beautiful twin sister and best friend, Linda Presnell; three children, Jenny Lynn Arnett and husband, Adam, Nathan Norman and Mitchell Norman and wife, Nicole; her grandchildren, Julie Barrier, Damon Hodges, Tyler Hodges, AJ Arnett, Abigail Norman and Andy Norman; four great-grandchildren, Owen, Jasey Elaine, Cordie Rae, and another sweet great-granddaughter, due to be born in March; and her special friends, Nora Presnell and Audrey Wilcox.

A Celebration of Life service for Lois Norman will be conducted Tuesday evening, December 5, 2023 at 7 o’clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Toby Oliver.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 o’clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes.
