Judith Ann (Gronberg) Mock, age 84, passed away peacefully early in the morning of December 30, 2023. She was born on August 12, 1939 to Edith Lent and Edward Gronberg. She lived most of her life in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, Franklyn Minor Mock, and sister, Ruth Elaine Gronberg. She was a long-time member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. Judith loved her family and friends fiercely. She had a sharp wit, keen crosswording skills, and the greenest of thumbs. She was quick to offer help to anyone in need and consistently rooted for the underdog.
Judith is survived by her husband, Franklyn, her sister, Ruth, her daughter, Devery Mock Ward (Jonathan), her grandchildren, Kaleigh Ann Hennis and Hannah Elizabeth Mock, and her four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joel Bentley Mock.
Judith's family is profoundly grateful for everyone who cared for her. We were blessed to experience the care and expertise of Dr. loanna Giatis Kessler as well as the staff at Universal Healthcare in Fuquay Varina. In the last few months of her life, she received excellent care from Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation and Medi Home Hospice. There will be a Celebration of Life for Judith at a later time.
