Joseph Jackson Austin III

Joseph Jackson Austin, III, age 45, passed away on May 29, 2026.

Born on July 31, 1980, in Watauga County, North Carolina, Joseph was the son of Jack Austin Jr. and Vedenia Sue Hall Austin.

Joseph treasured the time he spent with his family and created many cherished memories throughout his life. As a child and into adulthood, he especially enjoyed fishing with his dad, a pastime that brought him great happiness. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and rarely missed a race, and he enjoyed watching professional wrestling. He was also known as “Wild Man” by his cousin Sharon. His love for these simple pleasures and for the people closest to him will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, maternal and paternal great grandparents as well as his two cats, Earnhardt and JR

He is survived by his parents, Jack Austin Jr. and Vedenia Sue Hall Austin; and sister, Amber Brandie Sue Austin. 

Services will be private at a later date.
