James Franklin Smith

Mr. James F. “Jim” Smith, age 80, of 530 Corbett McNeil Road, Boone, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Glenbridge.

Mr. Smith, born May 4, 1943 in Watauga County, son of the late George Thompson Smith, Sr. and Veo Smith.

He was a machinist with US Buildings.

Survived by wife, Rickie Jane Smith, of the home; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Smith; Granddaughter, Keiley Jane Alderson of Zionville, Grandson, William Cody Alderson and wife Taylor Alderson of Dunn, North Carolina; Brother, Johnnie Smith and wife JoAnne Smith of Todd.

Preceded in death by two brothers Tom Smith and Jerry Smith.

A Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
