James Eric Presnell

James Eric Presnell, age 53, of Apple Road, Boone, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at Watauga Medical Center.  Born July 11, 1970 in Watauga County, he was a son of Gilbert and Gloria Gragg Presnell.  Eric was a life member of Advent Christian Church.  He was employed at Omega Tee Screen Printing Company in Boone.   Eric loved the Dallas Cowboys, golfing with friends and trout fishing.

He is survived by his children, Nicholas James Presnell of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Kayn Patrick Greene, Shelby Jean Presnell and Donovan Eric Presnell, all of Banner Elk; former wife and mother of his children, Anita Presnell; his mother, Gloria Gragg Presnell of Boone; brother, Steven Gilbert Presnell and wife, Lorrie, of Boone; sister, Sheri Annette Stout and husband, Jimmy of Trade, Tennessee; nephew, Austin Cole Stout of Trade, Tennessee and niece, Cara Presnell of Boone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Gilbert Presnell.

Celebration of Life services for Eric Presnell will be conducted Monday afternoon, November 20, 2023, at 2 o’clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Chapel, officiated by Minister Gordon Noble and Pastor Mitch Marlow.  The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1 until 2 o’clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes.  Graveside services will follow in the Presnell Cemetery, Andy Hicks Road, Banner Elk.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Advent Christian Church, Post Office Box 2515, Boone, NC  28607.
