Edgar Earl Eller

Edgar Earl Eller, age 85, of South Road, Todd, passed away Friday evening, September 8, 2023 at the Mountain City Care & Rehab Center.  Born March 27, 1938 in Watauga County, he was the son of James Lester and Pearl Ellison Eller.  Edgar was a member of Elk Knob Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and for more than 50 years, owned and operated of Eller Motors.  Edgar loved his family and enjoyed working his farm.  In his younger days, he enjoyed drag racing.  Edgar was always ready to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor.  
    
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Shull Eller, son, Scotty Eller and wife, Renee, and his grandchildren, Eli, Isaiah and Emma, all of Todd.

Funeral services for Edgar Eller will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2023 at 2 o’clock at Elk Knob Baptist Church, officiated by
Rev Derick Wilson.  Graveside services, officiated by Rev. Leonard Fletcher, will follow in the Ellison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, September 12th, from 6 until 8 o’clock at Austin & Barnes.

The family suggests memorials to Elk Knob Baptist Church, in care of Jan Ellison, 155 South Road, Todd, NC 28684.
