Chester Ray ‘Pop’ Trivett, age 80, of Boone, passed away Sunday evening, January 21, 2024 at his home.
Born March 19, 1943 in Watauga County, Chester was a son of Raymond and Marlyn Yates Trivett.
He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Chester was a retired carpenter who enjoyed attending car and motorcycle shows, browsing flea markets and visiting with friends.
Chester is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha Brown Trivette; four daughters, Jayna Burchette and husband, Jeff, of Jefferson, Audra Tester and husband, Lane, of Fleetwood, Susanne Sweet and husband, Martin, of Prattville, Alabama and Daveta Blanks and husband, David of Boone and son, Chuck Trivette and wife Cindy, of Wilkesboro; brother, Charles Trivett and wife, Esther, of St. George, Utah; fourteen grandchildren, Jared Munday, Jeremy Munday (Stacy), Jeffrey Keller (Melissa), Thomas Keller (Emily), Jessica Lenz (Matthew), Cassandra Tester, Kyle Sweet (Erica), Anatoliy Sweet, Sarah Sweet, Julian Bingham, Bo Blanks, Logan Blanks, Clint Trivette (Hayley), and Dallas Trivette: six great-grandchildren, Connor, Mackenzie, Jayce, Emilia, Isaiah and Riley; and honorary granddaughter, Uma Roy and her parents, Jayjit and Manan Roy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Burton and Dorcas Brown and his nephew, Charles Trivette, Jr.
Services, at Chester’s request, will be private.
