Cheryl Lynn Hart

Cheryl Lynn Hart, age 65, of Boone, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024. Born March 31, 1959 in Abingdon, Virginia to Joe and Vera Christine Hart.

She went to William Fleming High School in Roanoke, Va and studied Apparel Design at Radford.

Preceded in death by her father, Joe Hart.

Survivors are her mother, Vera Christine; sister, Beverly Sue Hart, her sons Joe Christopher and Zachery Gayle whom where her greatest joys in her life and also her granddaughter, Vera Jean Hart.

Cheryl enjoyed crocheting, sewing, working in her flower garden and taking walks with her dog Zeppo. She also liked hanging out with family and friends at places such as The Ramp Festival on Whitetop Mountain, Ashe Bash in Jefferson, NC, and the Fries Fiddler Convention.

She spent time visiting and working in various churches in the Boone area. Cheryl was famous for making in our family what was named “Righteous Cookies” by Emmylou Harris. Some of the best homemade chocolate chip cookies ever tasted.

A Memorial Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Ham & Hart Cemetery on Little Windfall Rd near Hurricane Township in Nella, NC.
