Carolyn Hagaman Adams

Carolyn Hagaman Adams, age 89, of Sugar Grove, NC, passed away at her home Sunday,
October 22, 2023. She was born September 8, 1934, in the Bethel Community of Watauga
County to Reverend Fred and Beulah Hagaman. Carolyn was member of Cove Creek Baptist
Church where she served as a teacher and mentor. She was a long time employee of Sears
Roebuck in Boone, NC. She served her community in the North Carolina State Grange for many
years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Adams;
brothers J. Norva and Jim Hagaman; and sisters Madge Harmon, Ann Klevinski, and Lucy
Holland. She is survived by one sister, Sue Harmon, Boone, NC, as well as a number of nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 27, at 2 p.m. at Cove Creek Baptist Church,
officiated by Reverend Kevin Combs. Prior to the services, the family will receive friends from
12 to 2 at the church. Burial will follow at the Cove Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
