Audrey (Lippoth) Stone

Audrey Lippoth Stone, 92, died Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in Blowing Rock.

Audrey will be remembered for her enduring love of her husband of 55 years, Rudolph Stone, who preceded her in death, her lifelong love of reading, particularly cozy mysteries, and enjoyment of travel, especially cruises.

She is survived by daughters Linda Stone of Blowing Rock, and Wendy Wilkinson and husband, Gregory of Washington, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jessica Hart and husband Mike of Hillsborough, NC, Elizabeth Hamrick and partner Daniel Hargreaves of Wellington, NZ, and Rebecca Hamrick and partner Joseph Adams of Greenville, NC. Audrey was the proud great-grandmother of Harrison, Henry, Rudy, and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Stone of Blowing Rock, parents Edward and Harriet Lippoth of Danbury, CT, and daughter Christine Hamrick and son in-law Dennis of Tarboro, NC.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
