Ann Marie Caffrey

Mrs. Ann Marie Adair Caffrey, age 80, of Vilas, passed away Saturday evening, October 21, 2023 at Amorem Hospice of Hudson.  Born June 19, 1943 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of Charles Nathan and Ivalee Cornett Adair.  Ann was a member of Mountain Dale Baptist Church.  For the past 30 years, Ann lived in Bath, Pennsylvania where she drove a school bus, transporting special needs children.  She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. 

Mrs. Caffrey is survived by her daughter, Vicky Spangler and husband, Sean, of Iowa Park, Texas; grandsons, Matthew Odom and wife, Amanda and Justin Odom; and three great-grandsons.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Burns; twin brothers, Dallas and Dean Adair; and sisters, Kate Buchanan, Charlotte Louise Moody, Betty Sutter, Shirley Adair, and Martha and Ida Mae Adair.

Private graveside services for Ann Caffrey will be at the Mountain Dale Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family extends a special ‘Thank You’ to Amorem Hospice of Hudson for the wonderful care and compassion extended to Ann and her family.
