It is with profound sadness that the family of Andrew Wade Evans announces his passing on October 8, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on January 11, 1942, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late Andrew Carl Evans & Sadie Francis Storey. Wade lived a life defined by honor, hard work, and love. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, carrying that same strength and discipline into every chapter of his life.
Following his service, Wade graduated from the Georgia Technical Institute in 1973 with a degree in Business, laying the foundation for a lifelong career marked by excellence and integrity.
A man of exceptional intelligence and integrity, Wade built a respected career as a business executive in banking and as a Certified Public Accountant. Yet beyond his professional achievements, it was his kindness, quick wit, and generous heart that touched everyone who knew him.
Wade found great joy in woodworking and oil painting, often creating beautiful pieces that reflected his patient nature and quiet creativity. He was deeply devoted to his family—his greatest pride and joy—and his love will continue to guide them always.
Wade is survived by his adoring wife of 53 years, Marianne Evans; his daughter Angela Spellman Baudoin and grandchildren Alex Spellman (wife, Jessica), Forrest Spellman (wife, Jeannie), Eion Spellman, Rhian Baudoin & Jolie Baudoin. He is also survived by his sister Pat Upchurch (husband, Charles) and brother Bill Evans (wife Marie).
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the Medi Home Hospice staff in Boone for the extraordinary care and compassion shown to Wade in his final days.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Cards of condolence and memories in Wade’s honor may be sent to his beloved wife, Marianne Evans, at Appalachian Brian Estates 163 Shadowline Drive, Boone, NC 28607

they walk beside us every day—
unseen, unheard, but always near,
still loved, still missed, and ever dear.”
