We are a full service funeral home since 1954. Centrally located in downtown Boone. We serve Watauga, Avery, Ashe, Caldwell, Wilkes counties in North Carolina, and Johnson County Tennessee.
We have the areas only on-site crematory. At Austin & Barnes Funeral Home and Crematory, we offer a wide range of services, including traditional full service funerals, memorial services, celebrations of life, cremation services, monuments, grave markers and mausoleums. In addition to these services we offer advance funeral planning.

We offer handmade wood and ceramic cremation urns from various local artisans; as well as brass, pewter, marbelon, and wood from Ambassador Associates, Wilbert, Aurora, Batesville, and October Company.

We offer full funeral services; memorial services; celebrations of life; cremations – direct or with services; preneed bank and insurance trusts/contracts, graveside services; internment and disinterments and/or reinterments; death date engraving; VA markers; monuments and markers.
