Ms. Wilma Hagaman, age 91, of Graggville Road, Boone, died Monday afternoon, May 9, 2011 at Blowing Rock Hospital. Born May 5, 1920 in Watauga County she was a daughter of the late William E. and Julia Brown Hagaman. Wilma was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by a number of cousins; including locally; B. J. Hodges and wife Tim of Boone, Jean Cole and husband Everette of Vilas and Lewis Brown of Vilas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Edward Hagaman.
Funeral services for Ms. Wilma Hagaman will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mr. Joseph McNeil. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church Joy Sunday School Class, 306 Oak Grove Road, Boone, NC 28607.
