Obituary Picture     Mrs. Inez Berry Storie, age 76, of Milton Brown Heirs Road, Boone and a former resident of the Baird’s Creek Community died Tuesday morning, March 15, 2011 at Watauga Medical Center. Born October 27, 1934 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Granville and Mae Robinette Berry. Mrs. Berry was a caregiver, having worked at Lynnhill Daycare and Watauga County Senior Citizens Center. She was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Inez was a loving wife; with no children of her own, she was a mother to all. Anyone she ever had contact with was greatly rewarded by her gentle ways and loving soft voice.
    She is survived by two brothers; George Lofton Berry and wife Pauline and James Cecil Berry and wife Judy all of Boone, two sisters; Frances Payne of Gastonia and Martha Berry Edmisten and husband Ted of Vilas, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Stacey Wade Storie, two sisters; Louise Cline and Mary Hartley and an infant sister and brother.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Berry Storie will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 o’clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Wynn Greer, Rev. Carl Wilson and Dr. Sonny Younce. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220. The family will receive friends Thursday morning prior to the service from 10 o’clock until 11 o’clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
