Mrs. Dorothy Jane "Dottie" Reneau, age 72, of Boone, passed away Monday, March 15 at Watauga Medical Center.
Surviving are her husband; Robert D."Bob" Reneau, Lt. Col USAF (Retired), two sons; Lt. Colonel Robert S. Reneau, USAF and wife Mysti, and Major Richard Reneau, USAFRES and wife Theresa, two step daughters; Cynthia Reneau of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Karen Wood of Payson, Arizona, six grandchildren; Hailey, Mariah, Noah, Joshua, Jake and Riley Reneau, and five step grandchildren; Erin, Bridgett, Kyle, Dylan Flannery and Beau Welch and the entire congregation at Boone United Methodist Church. Dottie was a graduate of the University of Florida, a true Gator, and a most avid and boisterous fan of the Appalachian State Mountaineers.
A Celebration of the life of Dottie Reneau will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Boone United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. John Fitzgerald and Dr. George Naff. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Boone United Methodist Church, 471 New Market Boulevard, Boone, NC 28607 to the ASU Yosef Club, PO Box 32025, Boone, NC 28608 or to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 810 Parkcrest Drive, Boone, NC 28607.
